SPECIFICATIONS
All external facade surfaces will be rendered on site with the TermoK8® CLASSICO cycle.

Insulating Layer
The initial alignment and containment of the insulation system will be achieved by mechanical application, with anchor plugs, an aluminium alloy section (base profile) around the perimeter of the ground floor of the building and, if required, onto the basement walls, in accordance with the thickness of the insulation.

Insulating panels in SEP 120 (sintered expanded polystyrene) are installed, complying with the UNI EN ISO 13163 regulations, dimensions 100cm x 50cm for a thickness depending on the design calculation.

The panels will be anchored to the surfaces of the facades (placed horizontally starting from the bottom and with vertical offsets) by spreading Klebocem adhesive mortar, based on synthetic resins, in strips along the perimeter of the slab and in central points, ensuring correct adhesion of the perimeter of the insulating panel to the support and excellent planarity.

If the support does not guarantee good adhesion, 4-6 special anchor plugs per m2 with an anchorage depth of at least 4 cm in the solid part of the wall can be inserted. The anchor plugs must always be prescribed when supports with mechanical characteristics of doubtful resistance are present, whereas they can be omitted in application on non-rendered hollow block work.

Before smooth rendering of the insulating panels, corner profiles must be applied at all the angles to protect the whole insulation system (the use of galvanized or painted steel profiles is not permitted).

Any small differences on the surface must be corrected by sanding.

Reinforced thin render
The insulating panels will be coated in place with Klebocem levelling mortar and whilst still wet, bed in Armatex C1, a special sized alkali-resistant, woven glass fibre mesh. The overlaps of the mesh must be at least 10 cm and 15 cm near corners, which are already protected by corner profiles.

When the first coat of mortar is completely dry, finish the reinforced coat by applying a subsequent levelling coat to completely cover the mesh.

Finishing coat
When the surface is completely dry, apply a single continuous layer of the granular coating Rivatone Plus, (in the granulometry available) with a trowel and then level. This coating has a wide spectrum of action against algae blackening and is specifically formulated for rendering systems.

A light finishing colour is recommended, or at least one with a light reflection index of more than 25 % for insulation thicknesses of up to 10 cm.

Horizontal and vertical interruption bands must be provided for, in order not to show defects deriving from resumptions of application.

During application the ambient temperature must be between +5°C and +35°C with relative humidity of no more than 80%.

Accessories
To ensure that the system is completed correctly, accessories will be used on expansion, connection joints and interface between the insulation system and the containment and/or protection profiles and sealed with the use of a suitable paintable sealant.

Any other functional and/or decorative accessory components are dependent on the complexity of the project.

N.B. Preparation of the Specifications requires particular attention to the conditions of the substrate and the resolution of the various "critical issues" of the building, it must thus be personalized for every single project.
